Gal #2, now with a new and improved pseudonym!

My roommate came home from Europe today, so I was updating him on all the news - funny work stories, awkward friend encounters, and so on. I mentioned that I needed a pseudonym for this-here blogsperiment, and he immediately came up with "Penny" - which is sort of perfect. I think it's a little old fashioned and a little nerdy - like me! It makes me think of Penny in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (amazing!) and Inspector Gadget's niece. Any other famous Pennys? (It's funny that the first time I wrote that, I wrote Pennies...) Oh, I just remembered Penny Lane, from Almost Famous - I love Kate Hudson for making even flat girls look superhot!

Not too much progress on the dating front for this girl. I've been exchanging emails on OkCupid with a promising sounding vegetarian guy - so maybe that will result in an embarrassing situation to share with y'all! I did some "boy-shopping" with the roommate today - but I have a hard time making the first move. That's a problem in real-life dating situations too. I don't know what it is - part of it is being slightly old-fashioned, as I mentioned earlier. I feel like I should be pursued, wooed, asked out, whatever you want to call it. It's not good.

This is a topic I'd like to explore further, but at this point - Penny is tired.
