Date #3... NOT the sex date (Penny)

I'm getting ready to go on date #3 with Andrew - I haven't seen him since before Christmas, so I'm excited to pick up where we left off. Which, as you may remember - is not really anywhere. On our last date, he almost (ALMOST!) got up the nerve to put his hand on my leg - but couldn't really commit to it, so I ended up with like, two of his fingers resting gently on my leg for about three subway stops. This has been a topic of conversation and joking with my friends for the past few weeks...

But I've been thinking today how I am totally OK with this slooooow progress. I like the beginning butterflies-in-your-stomach stage of dating, where everything is a question mark and you think about every little moment or touch. Once you've kissed someone - you can never NOT have kissed them. Once you've had sex - that's done. The anticipation is gone - and that exciting, fluttery anticipation is so much fun.

So yes, I can assure you readers, that date #3 will not be the sex date. I'd like it to be a little more than the "two fingers resting gently on my leg" date, but I don't think that'll be a problem. Wish me luck!
